The New Garden State Jurisdiction
is accepting the challenges of Ministry
as we move into the 21st Century
with enthusiasm and inspiration,
cognizant of the fact that we must
make the necessary "Paradigm
Shifts" to effectuate a positive
change for the future ministries
of our great church.
The circumstances in our communities
require us to take a much more aggressive
posture in meeting the needs of
our people.
Our ministries INSIDE
the house of worship is also the
bridge we must cross to reach and
touch our people OUTSIDE
of the house of worship. Social
circumstances require us to evaluate
the needs of the community and collaborate
with other resources relevant to
meeting those needs. As a result,
we endeavor to develop programs
which will effectuate the necessary
changes in our people to grow and
survive, under the umbrella of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The federal government has opened
its gates to the religious community
for easier access to social services,
housing, economic development and
financial resources. When we "activate"
ourselves in this manner, the programs
we develop are called faith-based
initiatives.
Through the development of our
faith-based initiatives, this will
align us with our paradigm shift
to help our people, and ourselves,
to meet the challenges of the 21st
century. We must do what we have
been called to do and do it well,
serving God through service to mankind.
